    Why You Will Like This

Frozen French Fries are simple to make in the air fryer. Just like any other frozen food item like Air Fryer Arbyโ€™s Curly Fries, Air Fryer Alexia Sweet Potato Puffs, or Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables.

    • Crispy texture without deep frying
    • Quick cook time with minimal prep
    • No need to thaw the fries first
    • Works with any type of frozen fries
    • Perfect side for burgers, sandwiches, or crock pot mac and cheese
    • Easy to customize with seasoning

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Frozen French Fries

    • Frozen French fries - Use any style you like such as crinkle cut, straight cut, steak fries, or shoestring. No need to thaw before cooking.
    • Cooking spray or oil - A light spray helps the fries crisp up even more and prevents sticking.
    • Salt - Enhances flavor and brings out the natural potato taste.
    • Optional seasonings
Garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, or seasoned salt can add extra flavor depending on your preference.

How to Make Air Fryer Frozen French Fries

Begin by preheating your air fryer to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC).

Step 1 Place some parchment paper down in your air fryer basket and add the frozen french fries. They do not need to be thawed.

Step 2 Season with salt and pepper and then use a cooking spray.

Step 3 Set the timer for 10 to 12 minutes. And close the basket.

Pro Tips for Air Fryer French Fries

    • Do not thaw the fries before cooking. Cooking from frozen gives the best texture.
    • Avoid overcrowding the basket since this can lead to soggy fries.
    • Shake the basket at least once during cooking for even browning.
    • Adjust cook time based on fry thickness. Thicker fries need more time.
    • Add seasoning right after cooking so it sticks better.

    Storage

Store leftover fries in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat, place them back in the air fryer at 375 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes. This helps bring back the crisp texture better than microwaving.

Freezing leftover cooked fries is not recommended since the texture can become mushy when reheated.

    Serving Suggestions

Air fryer frozen French fries are one of the most versatile sides you can make. They pair well with a variety of meals and are easy to dress up.

    • Serve with Blackstone Smash Burgers (Jamaican Style), Air Fryer Chicken Patties, or sandwiches for a classic meal
    • Pair with crock pot mac and cheese for the ultimate comfort food combo
    • Add shredded cheese and bacon bits for loaded fries
    • Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch, or cheese sauce
    • Use as a base for chili cheese fries

    Recipe FAQS

Do I need to preheat the air fryer?

Preheating helps achieve a crispier texture, but you can still cook fries without it if needed.

Can I cook different types of fries the same way?

Yes, but cooking times may vary depending on thickness and style.

Why are my fries not crispy?

This is usually due to overcrowding or not cooking them long enough. Make sure they are in a single layer.

I wouldn't typically store air fried french fries to have for the next day. I always make them in small batches. However, I have saved french fries from a restaurant and have heated them up the next day in the air fryer.ย

Sorry about that, I use a template and just had forgot to change sausage patties (previous recipe) to frozen french fries.

this is so confusing. it says fries then says sausage patties... etc. please rework your page and recipe. for those wondering about frozen fries, I make my own ( most air fryers have the French fry option too!) but here's my recipe for store bought fries:
*place half a bag (accordingly ex. Size of air Fryer and bag itself!) in airfryer, you can use foil, liners, or rack if it came with one
*season with Lawrys seasoning salt or David's kosher salt to your liking, no need for oils no need to preheat but keep the option on preheat so that when it "beeps" you know to shake!
*Set timer to 395ยฐF for 12mins
      * after preheat timer shake, wait til @5mins and shake again
*test crispyness @2mins left, add additional minutes if you want them crispier!
      Enjoy!
