Frozen vegetables have become a staple in many households due to their convenience, nutritional value, and long shelf life. There are so many varieties at the grocery you can make in your air fryer at home!

Unlike fresh produce, which can spoil within days, frozen vegetables can be stored for months, providing a reliable source of essential vitamins and minerals.

Frozen vegetables have become a staple in many households due to their convenience, nutritional value, and long shelf life. Unlike fresh produce, which can spoil within days, frozen vegetables can be stored for months, providing a reliable source of essential vitamins and minerals.

One of the key benefits of frozen vegetables is that they are typically flash-frozen shortly after being harvested, which helps to preserve their nutritional content. This means that, in many cases, frozen vegetables can be just as nutritious—if not more so—than their fresh counterparts, which may lose nutrients during transportation and storage.

While You Will Love Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables

Frozen vegetables can sometimes be… underwhelming. But with the air fryer, they transform into something crave-worthy:

    • Crispy on the outside, tender inside
    • No mushy texture like steaming or microwaving
    • Quick cooking time (10–15 minutes)
    • Minimal cleanup

Frozen vegetables are simple to make in the air fryer. Just like any other frozen food item like Air Fryer Arby’s Curly Fries or these Air Fryer Breakfast Sausages.

You can make small batches of vegetables while your choice of protein is cooking in the air fryer. Just add them in the last 5 to 6 minutes while cooking.

Frozen vegetables are just as great as fresh vegetables in the air fryer. All they need is a little oil and salt.

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables

    • 1 bag of frozen mixed vegetables (any kind will do)
    • 2 teaspoon of vegetable oil or olive oil spray
    • salt and pepper to taste

    Equipment:

    • Air fryer
    • parchment paper
    • Tongs or a spatula

How to Make Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables

Step 1 Preheat the Air Fryer: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2 Place some parchment paper down in your air fryer basket and add the frozen mixed vegetables. They do not need to be thawed.

Step 3 Season with salt and pepper and then drizzle with olive oil. Or use a cooking spray.

Air fried vegetables in air fryer basket.

Step 4 Set the timer for 5to 6 minutes. And close the basket.

What can I serve with Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables?

Here is a list of ideas for what to serve with frozen vegetables to create a delicious and balanced meal:

    1. Easy Blackstone Chicken Breasts (Griddle Recipe) A lean protein that pairs well with a variety of vegetables.
    2. Air Fryer Fish Tacos (3 Ingredients) These are so easy to make and only require 3 ingredients
    3. Blackstone Tortellini: Toss vegetables with your favorite pasta and a light sauce for a quick meal.
    4. Air Fryer Salmon: Try salmon, tilapia, or cod for a healthy and tasty option.
    5. Tofu or Tempeh: Excellent sources of plant-based protein that can be stir-fried with vegetables.

I have two air fryers. The Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer and Ninja Woodfire Grill which is an outdoor air fryer. It’s pretty awesome! It has 5 different functions on it.

    Recipe Tips

    1. Preheating ensures that the fries cook evenly and achieve the desired crispiness.
    2. Avoid Overcrowding: Cooking in smaller batches will help the fries cook more evenly and get crispier.
    3. Shaking the Basket: Shaking the basket halfway through cooking helps ensure that all the fries cook evenly.
    4. Experiment with Seasonings: Feel free to experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder, paprika, or Cajun spice to add an extra kick to your fries.
    5. Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container.

    Recipe FAQS

Do I need to thaw the vegetables first?

Nope! Air fryer frozen veggies go in straight from the freezer.

Do I need to add oil?

Oil helps them crisp up and adds flavor, but you can skip it for an oil-free version.

    Can I use cooking spray?

Using cooking spray or oil helps the vegetables get super crispy in the air fryer.
