    These WW-friendly salmon bites are a flavorful, low-point treat that make for the perfect protein-packed snack, appetizer, or even a light dinner. With just a few simple ingredients like fresh salmon, garlic, olive oil, and a mix of savory spices, these bites are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

    They’re not only delicious but also incredibly easy to make in the air fryer or oven, making them a great option for anyone following a healthy lifestyle.

    Salmon is already well-known for its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, and essential nutrients that support heart health, brain function, and overall well-being.

    Cooking it in an air fryer reduces the need for excessive oil, making it a lighter, yet equally satisfying, alternative to other cooking methods. This can be particularly appealing for individuals following specific dietary plans or anyone interested in maintaining a balanced diet.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Salmon fillets - is a popular fish known for its delicate flavor and tender texture. It is considered to be one of the healthiest foods due to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for heart health. It is also zero points on WW and very high in protein.
    • Fresh garlic, minced - Chopped fresh garlic can take some time to chop so I often always use the freshly minced garlic that comes already made in a jar. 
    • Olive oil - Look for olive oils that are labeled as extra virgin, cold-pressed, and unfiltered for the highest quality.
    • Spice Mix: ½ teaspoon (each)smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper

    How to Make Air Fryer Salmon Bites

    Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees. Dice salmon into small 1 inch cubes.

    Step 2: Place salmon bites into a large bowl.Add garlic, oil, lemon juice, and spices. Then toss the salmon bites until they are well coated with the spices.

    Step 3: Place the salmon bites into an air fryer basket lined with parchment paper (for easy clean up) and make sure the salmon bites are in a single layer.

    Step 4: Cook at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

    What to serve with Air Fryer Salmon Bites?

    Whether served as a main dish accompanied by a side of fresh vegetables, tossed in a salad for added protein, or enjoyed as a savory snack, these bites can be seasoned in countless ways to suit any palate.

    I like to serve these salmon bites with a quick microwave 90 second Jasmin rice packet from Target. I love them cause the rice is heat up so quickly. Then I like to dice some avocado or serve it with some edamame or sliced cucumbers.

    Drizzle some spicy sauce over the top. This is kind of another spin on the Tiktok Salmon Rice Bowl recipe that went viral.

    What air fryer do I use?

     I have two air fryers. The Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer and Ninja Woodfire Grill which is an outdoor air fryer. It’s pretty awesome! It has 5 different functions on it. 

    What is an air fryer?

    An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that cooks by circulating hot air around the food using the convection mechanism. It is a downsized version of the convection oven. 

    Is air fried food healthy? 

    When you compare air-fried food to deep-fried food it is much healthier because there is hardly any oil used at all. The only oil I use is from my Pam cooking spray.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound, skinless salmon fillets
    • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • ½ tsp each smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper

    Instructions

    1. Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees. Dice salmon into small 1 inch cubes.
    2. Place salmon bites into a large bowl.
    3. Add garlic, oil, lemon juice, and spices. Then toss the salmon bites until they are well coated with the spices.
    4. Place the salmon bites into an air fryer basket lined with parchment paper (for easy clean up) and make sure the salmon bites are in a single layer.
    5. Cook at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. 

    Notes

    Serve the salmon bites with some avocado, rice, and spicy mayo sauce. (optional)
