How to Make Grilled Cheese in Air Fryer
I used to make my grilled cheese on a skillet and slather each piece of bread with butter. This grilled cheese has no butter and is much healthier with less fat and probably one of the easiest ways to make grilled cheese ever. Take two pieces of bread and a slice of your favorite cheese. Place the cheese in the middle of the two slices of bread and place the grilled cheese in the air fryer. Spray each side of bread with cooking spray. If you like the buttery taste use a butter flavored cooking spray. Set the temperature to 350 and close the basket. Set the timer of your air fryer to 5 minutes and once the 5 minutes are up flip the bread over so that the other side of the grilled cheese becomes toasty and golden brown. Air Fry for another 3 minutes.
What to serve with Grilled Cheese
If you want fries with your grilled cheese you can cook them at the same time with the grilled cheese in your air fryer basket. The fries might take a little longer to cook than the grilled cheese. Fruit and a side of veggies is always an option or a side of chips.
Lower points Grilled Cheese
For a WW friendly grilled cheese that is lower in points, you can use a light bread (I like Village Hearth Light Italian Bread) and reduced fat or 2% American cheese slice. I will also use I Can’t Believe Its Not Butter Spray to spritz on the bread. The whole sandwich would be 4 smart points.

Air Fryer Grilled Cheese
2 slices of bread such as Village Hearth Light Italian
1 slice of Velveeta Original flavor cheese product slices
Cooking Spray or I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray
Place cheese between two slices of bread and place the sandwich in your air fryer basket. You can choose to spray each side of the bread before you put it in the basket but I like to spray the bread in the air fryer basket and then flip it to the other side and spray it again.
Set your air fryer to 350 degrees and close the basket. Set the timer to 5 minutes. Flip and then cook the other side for 3 minutes. Enjoy.
