The pizza version is just as good and easy as the enchilada version. I do
Turkey pepperoni is actually pretty good
Ingredients Needed
- 96% lean ground beef - Is considered better than higher fat options for several reasons. First, it has less saturated fat, which can contribute to heart disease and other health issues. Additionally, it tends to have fewer calories per serving, making it a good option for those watching their weight.
- Onion powder, or 1 onion, chopped
- Tomato sauce - Can also sub crushed tomatoes or use your favorite jar of marinara sauce
- Garlic, minced - Chopped fresh garlic can take some time to chop so I often always use the freshly minced garlic that comes already made in a jar.
- Italian seasoning - Is a popular blend of herbs and spices that typically includes a mix of dried basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, and sometimes garlic powder or dried red pepper flakes.
- Refrigerated buttermilk biscuits, buttermilk - are a popular type of refrigerated dough that can be found in most grocery stores. These versatile biscuits are a great addition to any meal and can be used to create a variety of dishes, from sweet to savory.
- Pizza toppings you like, green pepper, turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, etc.
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded - I like to use Reduced-Fat Cheese because it has a lower calorie count and less saturated fat than regular cheese, but it may also have a different taste and texture. It also helps with keeping the calorie count pretty low for this recipe.

I used the Weight Watchers Recipe Builder. Cut the ground beef down to 1/2 lb and added 17 slices of turkey pepperoni and it pointed out to 6 PP for 1/8 of recipe! That I like 🙂

This is actually a Pampered Chef recipe first.
I usually sub out turkey for the beef (or skip the meat), and use 1/2 the amount of biscuits and sauce for lower calories. Or I will use reduced fat crescent rolls.
