I've been experimenting with the 2 ingredient dough so much lately. The grocery store by me has probably wondered why they started running out of nonfat Greek yogurt so quickly.

Why You Will Love This Recipe

This 2 ingredient dough recipe with self-rising flour and Greek Yogurt iis so versatile. You can literally make anything with it. Pizza, calzones, breadsticks, use it as a crust for some chicken pot pie, biscuits, you name it!

I wanted to make something sweet with this dough and lately, I've been wanting cinnamon rolls. Believe it not, but these cinnamon rolls came out to be only 2 smart points (for 1).

There are probably ways to make these even 1 smart point but if you add the caramel sauce that makes them be 2 smart points. Find whatever topping you like for your cinnamon rolls, me, I just love caramel cinnamon rolls!

    Ingredients Needed

Ingredients needed for Caramel Cinnamon Rolls.
    • Self-rising flour is a type of flour that already contains baking powder and salt, which are essential ingredients in many baked goods.
    • Greek yogurt is considered great for a variety of reasons. It is typically higher in protein and lower in sugar than regular yogurt, making it a good choice for those looking to maintain a balanced diet.
    • Erythritol (sugar substitute) - if you know the conversions for a different sugar substitute feel free to use that!
    • Cinnamon -  is a spice that comes from the inner bark of several trees from the genus Cinnamomum.
    • Sugar-Free caramel sauce - such as Smuckers
    • 15 sprays of butter spray
    • See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Recipe Tip: If your dough still feels a little sticky, sprinkle flour onto dough until it feels solid and easy to separate.

For larger caramel rolls cut the dough into 4 equal pieces.

Step 3: Next, coat the cutting board with flour and lay the dough out on the cutting board. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out to form a rectangular shape. (You can do this on a cutting board or clean work surface)

Step 4: Spritz the dough 15 times with butter spray. Sprinkle the dough with cinnamon and sugar.

    Recipe FAQS

What can I serve with cinnamon rolls?

You can make these for breakfast and serve them with some scrambled eggs (protein) and have some fresh fruit on the side.

How do you figure out points for recipes?

Nutrition info is calculated with the zero point food included in the recipe. If you’re using the nutrition info to figure out points it might not be the same as what the points are listed in the notes section. I use the recipe builder to calculate points. Myfitness pal for nutrition info.

    How to store leftovers?

Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic,  whatever!  Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container before putting it in the freezer or fridge.
This can be prepped the day ahead.

Two Ingredient dough can be divided further into 8 equal portions. Not just 4. If you want 2 rolls per serving size just adjust the recipe in your recipe builder and change the serving size. This is just a suggested serving size. Thanks.

I am a little confused. I use this 2 ingredient dough all the time. Direction are to divide it into 4 and it makes 4 bagel. If dividing into 8ths for 8 rolls, why would only 1 roll be a serving, why wouldn't it be 2 rolls?

Charlotte, I know this about self rising flour, the reader below was wondering about gluten-free flour.

Jenna, it is self rising flour in the recipe so it's already in there.

Yes, but you will need to add some baking powder or baking soda to help it rise.

I used another yogart instead of Fage 0% yogart and dough was very sticky. Fage 0 % yogart never leaves my dough sticky.
