What is Dubai Chocolate?
Dubai chocolate became popular on social media after a luxury chocolate bar filled with pistachio cream and crispy shredded pastry went viral. Home cooks began creating desserts inspired by these flavors, including strawberry cups, cakes, and brownies.
This strawberry version keeps the same flavor profile while making the recipe simple and accessible.
Ingredients Needed or Dubai Strawberries

- Chocolate of choice - I used Milk Chocolate Chips or you can also use melting chocolate candy melts
- 1 pint of fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 6.5 oz jar of Pistachio Butter - (You can make your own pistachio butter by grinding up some pistachios in a food processor.)
- Kataifi - this is basically finely shredded phyllo dough. I’ve never heard of it or seen it in the stores in my area at all so I had to make my own)
- Chocolate Molds Any Kind - can find these on Amazon or in a kitchen store wherever you live.
- Edible Gold Glitter - optional (this I did not purchase)
- See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
Substitution Tips
- Use Nutella instead of pistachio cream
- Try white chocolate for a sweeter flavor
- Crushed phyllo or crispy cereal can replace kataifi
- Dark chocolate adds a richer taste
- Add whipped cream for extra layers
How to make Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Please note, the amounts of chocolate, pistachio butter, and kataifi may very depending on the side of your chocolate molds. I just had a little tiny mold.
In a microwave-safe bowl melt the chopped-up chocolate. Layer a thin layer of chocolate into each mold and remove
Melt butter in a sauce pan and add the kattafi. Let it cook in the pan until its golden brown and set aside.
Open up the jar of pistachio butter and mix it with the golden brown katafi and set that aside.

Slice some fresh strawberries.
In a tall glass jar add a layer of strawberries, the katafi pisatchio mixture, and melted chocolate. Then repeat the layers until the jar is full like you’re making a parfait.
