Almond Flour

Back when I shared this recipe, there weren't very many options for Keto/Low Carb bread on the market. Now there is a ton of different bread companies out there making low carb bread. Kingโs Hawaiian, Arnold, and Aldi have their own version now but not a lot of those bread loaves have ingredients in the list that I canโt even pronounce. Itโs always a better option to make your own bread at home and this bread just has 6 ingredients.
What Ingredients do I need for Low Carb Bread?
In this section, you can find substitutes or suggestions for certain ingredients. I also will try and list out what the ingredients' purpose is for.
- Butter - Unsalted, melted
- Eggs - always use large eggs when baking
- Baking Soda - This is to help the bread rise
- Almond Flour - Almond flour is the best flour for low carb bread in my opinion. Most grocery stores carry this now but I like to get mine at Aldi or a huge bag from Costco. The price for almond flour there canโt be beat.
- Heavy Cream
How to make Low Carb Bread
Step 1 In a large bowl mix together the melted butter, almond meal, eggs, baking soda, and heavy cream until smooth.
Step 2 Pour the batter into a greased bread loaf pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350 degrees or until a tooth pick comes out clean.

Serve with sugar free jam or butter.
Pro Tips Weight Watcher Bread
- To guarantee the perfect rise every time, ensure your water is warm but not hot, ideally between one hundred and one hundred and ten degrees.
- If the water is too hot, it will instantly kill the yeast, resulting in a flat brick.
- Additionally, let the baked loaf cool completely on a wire rack for at least one hour before slicing. Slicing into a hot loaf traps steam inside, making the texture feel damp.
Storage
Keep your sliced bread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to seven days to maintain freshness. Because this homemade loaf contains zero artificial preservatives, it will spoil much faster at room temperature than store-bought brands.
Serving Suggestions
This versatile low carb loaf is spectacular when sliced thin and toasted to a perfect crisp. Spread it with a light layer of whipped cottage cheese and fresh berries, or top it with a perfectly fried egg for a high-volume breakfast.
It also holds up beautifully to heavy sandwich fillings like lean turkey breast, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomato slices.
