Making blueberry ice cream in a Ninja Creami at home is a straightforward process that allows you to control the quality of ingredients and experiment with flavors. Fresh or frozen blueberries can be used, and they are typically cooked down to a compote before being mixed into the ice cream base. This ensures that the berry flavor is evenly distributed throughout the ice cream.

Why You Will this Ninja Creami Blueberry Ice Cream

So I’m lactose intolerant and I finally found a protein shake that I actually like and doesn’t leave any weird aftertaste. They had OWYN plant based protein shakes at Target and I picked one up.

This is by far my most favorite vanilla base combo yet. I blended an OWYN protein shake with ½ cup of Greek Yogurt and 3 tablespoons of vanilla pudding. It did need a respin on the first try so I added some protein shake to it.

If you don’t want vanilla try a pudding mix like pistachio, chocolate, or cheesecake flavor ice pudding mix. There are so many varieties to try!

Ingredients Needed Ninja Creami Blueberry Ice Cream

    • 1 bottle of of vanilla OWYN protein shake - If you aren’t lactose intolerant like me use your favorite bottle of vanilla protein shake.
    • ½ cup of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
    • 3 tablespoons of Instant Cheesecake Pudding Mix
    • ½ cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
    • See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

Step 3 Press the Ice Cream option on the Ninja Creami blender and spin. Respin if necessary.

Garnish with fresh blueberries on top.

Can I put frozen fruit into a Ninja Creami Pint?

No the manual that came with the Ninja Creami recommends that you do not use that. You need to blend it first so the machine lasts longer.

What is the best sweetener for Ninja Creami?

The best sweetener for Ninja Cream is probably natural sugars like sugar, brown sugar, or honey.
Granulated Sugar – Provides the best texture but adds calories.
Brown Sugar – Adds a deeper, caramel-like flavor.
Honey or Maple Syrup – Natural options that enhance flavor but may slightly alter texture.

Why is my Ninja Creami Chalky?

You need to add some kind of fat or binder! Thats why people like to use pudding mix in their Creami’s. Using too much water-based liquid (like almond milk or skim milk) instead of higher-fat options. Add heavy cream, full-fat coconut milk, half-and-half, or Greek yogurt to improve texture. Sorbets are going to be a chalky consistency so you have to respin and add more orange juice or water.

Can I use non-dairy milk to make ice cream in my Ninja Creami?

Yes you sure can! Instead of regular milk use almond or oat milk.

    Popular Ninja Creami Variations:

    • Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream - 1 tablespoon cream cheese, ⅓ cup sugar, ¾ cup heavy cream, 1 cup milk, 3-4 sandwich or Oreo cookies.
    • Protein Ice Cream - 1 container of Chocolate or Vanilla Fair Life Protein Drink
    • Ninja Creami Cherry Sorbet
    • Ninja Creami Sorbet Ice Cream - 1 15 oz container of fruit cocktail + Plus
    • Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream - 1 tablespoon cream cheese, ⅓ cup sugar, ¾ cup heavy cream, 1 cup milk, 1 - 2 drops of green food coloring, 2 tablespoons of chopped chocolate chips
    • Ninja Creami Gelato
    • Ninja Creami Birthday Cake Ice Cream

    Enjoy exploring these delightful flavors!
