If you spend any time scrolling through TikTok, you have probably seen the famous ramen noodle hacks that transform a simple package of instant noodles into something that tastes surprisingly gourmet. One of the easiest versions is this TikTok Ramen Brown Sugar and Soy Sauce Supreme recipe. It uses pantry staples to create a sweet, savory, buttery sauce that coats every bite of noodles.

The combination of soy sauce, brown sugar, butter, and garlic creates a rich glaze that tastes far more satisfying than the seasoning packet alone. The sauce caramelizes slightly as it cooks, giving the noodles a glossy finish with the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors. Add a soft boiled egg, sliced green onions, sesame seeds, or your favorite protein to turn this inexpensive meal into a complete lunch or dinner.
Whether you need a quick weeknight meal, an easy college recipe, or simply want to try one of TikTok's most popular ramen trends, this recipe comes together in about 10 minutes with ingredients you probably already have at home.
One thing I’ve noticed about recipes from Tiktok is that the social media app name has to be in front of the recipe or else it isn’t cool or hip. Get what I mean here? It has to be Tiktok this or Tiktok that. That has never happened with any other social media app before. You don’t see food bloggers saying Facebook ramen now don’t you? Would you eat something titled that? Ha!! Probably not now. I know it's a pretty bad observation right? 🙂

Why This Works
- Ready in about 10 minutes from start to finish.
- Uses simple pantry ingredients that are easy to find.
- Sweet brown sugar perfectly balances the salty soy sauce.
- Butter creates a silky sauce that coats every noodle.
- Easy to customize with vegetables, eggs, chicken, shrimp, or steak.
- Budget friendly and much more flavorful than plain instant ramen.
- Perfect for lunch, dinner, or a late night snack.
Ingredients Needed for Tiktok Ramen

- Instant Ramen Noodles (discard seasoning packet) - provide the base for the recipe. Any flavor works because you will only use a small amount of the seasoning packet or leave it out completely.
- Butter - can also use olive oil
- Garlic -adds bold flavor that pairs perfectly with the soy sauce and butter. Fresh minced garlic provides the best taste.
- Brown sugar - adds sweetness that balances the soy sauce while helping create a glossy caramelized sauce.
- SoySauce (low sodium soy sauce) or Coconut Aminos - gives the noodles their deep savory flavor. Low sodium soy sauce works well if you prefer less salt.
- Scrambled egg - is optional but highly recommended for extra protein and a classic ramen topping.
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes and Everything Bagel seasoning to taste
- garnish with Scallions or green onions(optional), red chili flakes
How to Make Viral Tiktok Ramen Recipe
Step 1: Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Do not over cook them because they will continue cooking in the sauce.

Step 2: Make the sauce by heating a non-stick skillet to medium heat. Add the butter and melt. Then add the garlic powder, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

Step 3: Dump the noodles in and stir. Season with crushed red pepper flakes and Everything Bagel seasoning.

Step 4: Create a space for the egg to cook inside the pan. Crack the egg and add it to the empty space. Let it cook until the egg whites start setting and then break it up into the noodles.

Step 4: Garnish the ramen with some scallions, Everything bagel seasoning, or sesame seeds.

Ramen Hack Tips
- For garlic, use minced garlic or garlic powder
- Use a low sodium soy sauce. I like brands such as Kikkoman (shop on Amazon) or Trader Joe’s.
- Sugar substitutes can be used if you don’t want to use regular brown sugar.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for larger families or servings.
- Don’t have Everything Bagel Seasoning? It’s easy to make and I have a recipe for it here. Or you can just buy it on Amazon.
- Instead of butter use olive oil or avocado oil
- For more added protein instead of egg try it with some cooked shrimp or chicken.
Serving Suggestions
Serve these noodles with a jammy or soft boiled egg for a classic ramen experience.
Pair with grilled chicken, sliced steak, shrimp, or crispy tofu for extra protein.
Add steamed broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, shredded carrots, or snap peas for additional vegetables.
Serve alongside potstickers, egg rolls, or a simple cucumber salad for an easy meal.
Top with extra green onions, sesame seeds, chili crisp, or sriracha for even more flavor.
How Do I Store Leftovers?
Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container before putting it in the freezer or fridge.
This can be prepped the day ahead.

Super delish! I made it for my son and I when we were sick and it was the perfect comfort food. I added chicken and pork gyoza that I had bought at Costco and pan friend those in sesame and avocado oil first, removed them from the pan and continued with the recipe as described. Very good and easy to make. Will make again.

I love this recipe!! I have celiac disease so i modified slightly but same idea- I cannot use normal ramen noodles but I substituted rice noodles and used gluten free soy sauce in place of regular. I also added a teaspoon of chili garlic sauce. I used minced garlic- Not powder. So delicious!!!
