Egg Rolls that you get at the Asian restaurant are so much more fattening because they are deep fried in oil and these air fryer egg rolls are so much healthier!

Air Fryer Egg Rolls

I took my popular recipe for Egg Roll in a Bowl and made that tasty concoction into actual egg rolls and I didn't know why I waited so long to do that! It's so stupid easy! One of my Instagram readers had made a comment when I posted Egg Roll in a Bowl and she said she had turned the recipe into egg rolls. That is a pretty great idea and she had cooked them in her air fryer. If you're not following me on Instagram please do so now. 🙂

I use a bag of shredded coleslaw mix for this. Some coleslaw mixes do not come with carrots in them but if you find ones that don't just add in some chopped carrots. I also used some ground chicken and ground chicken is really easy to make on your own if you have a food processor. I just add the chicken to the food processor and that does the work for you! Egg roll wrappers are usually found by the produce aisle and I always like to keep a bottle of Soy Sauce and Sesame oil in my pantry.

Tips for using Air Fryers

Preheating: Some air fryers require preheating and some do not. Be sure to check your air fryer manual. Mine does not require preheating. If the food ever burns or doesn’t cook properly this could be why the recipe didn’t work for you.

Cooking Times: Please note that all air fryers do not cook the same. Might have to adjust cooking time accordingly.  Thank you.

Overcrowding: Do not overcrowd the basket. Some food will not cook properly or all the way through.

Oil: One of the reasons why air fryers are so great is because food doesn’t need a lot of oil. Especially frozen food. Just a small amount is fine or use Cooking Spray.

I wouldn't personally freeze them. The texture of the tortilla might not be right after air heating them up a second time.

Can these be frozen for later use? If so, frozen after cooked in air fryer or before cooked in air fryer? Thanks

Yummy, thanks for sharing the recipe! I made it just the way you said with some chopped mushrooms and will certainly make again.
