I took my popular recipe for Egg Roll in a Bowl and made that tasty concoction into actual egg rolls and I didn't know why I waited so long to do that! It's so stupid easy! One of my Instagram readers had made a comment when I posted Egg Roll in a Bowl and she said she had turned the recipe into egg rolls. That is a pretty great idea and she had cooked them in her air fryer. If you're not following me on Instagram please do so now. 🙂

The air fryer is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. Check out some of these recipes! Air Fryer Baked Potatoes, Air Fryer Omelette with Parchment Paper, Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket, or Air Fryer Turkey Breast!

Why You Will Love This Recipe

I use a bag of shredded coleslaw mix for this. Some coleslaw mixes do not come with carrots in them but if you find ones that don't just add in some chopped carrots. This is basically the same recipe I use for Egg Roll in a Bowl.

I also used some ground chicken and ground chicken is really easy to make on your own if you have a food processor. I just add the chicken to the food processor and that does the work for you!

Egg roll wrappers are usually found by the produce aisle and I always like to keep a bottle of Soy Sauce and Sesame oil in my pantry.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Ginger - get the ground up fresh ginger that comes in a tube, it's a life saver!
    • Coleslaw mix - this comes in bags at the store of shredded cabbage and carrots
    • Low sodium soy sauce - Coconut Aminos is a great substitute for Soy Sauce
    • Ground chicken breast - Can sub ground pork, turkey, or turkey sausage
    • Egg Roll Wrappers - I only used 8 of them
    • Egg - for brushing on the egg roll wrappers
    • See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

    Tips for using Air Fryers

The air fryer is so great for cooking simple basic food like air fryer bacon wrapped chicken breast, air fryer steak, and air fryer hard-boiled eggs. Cook up some air fryer chicken breasts for the week and use the chicken for quesadillas, crispy cobb salad, or DIY chipotle burrito bowls to use for lunch or dinner.

Some air fryers require preheating and some do not. Be sure to check your air fryer manual.  If the food ever burns or doesn’t cook properly this could be why the recipe didn’t work for you.

Overcrowding: Do not overcrowd the basket. Place items in a single layer in the air fryer basket or some food will not cook properly or all the way through.

What air fryer do I use? Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer- This air fryer doesn't require any preheating and has several different functions for cooking chicken, meat, frozen foods, etc. There are 5 different functions.

I wouldn't personally freeze them. The texture of the tortilla might not be right after air heating them up a second time.

Can these be frozen for later use? If so, frozen after cooked in air fryer or before cooked in air fryer? Thanks
