I know making an omelet is probably faster to make on a stovetop in a nonstick skillet. But, what if I told you, you could make an omelette in your air fryer just by adding some parchment paper at the bottom of your basket? Easy clean up and no dirty pans.

I’ve been seeing people make air fryer omelettes or frittatas on Tiktok lately so I thought I’d give it a try. I like how the top part of the omelette comes out a little crispy. My omelette was thin enough that you could put it between two slices of bread and make a sandwich with it. Have you been following me on Tiktok lately? Check out my latest recipe videos there. How much are eggs where you live? When writing this post eggs were currently 4.99 at my local Aldi store. They are on the and I was thinking about posting some recipes that

    Ingredients Needed

    4 to 5 large eggs

    Salt and pepper, to taste

¼ cup of cheddar cheese or whatever you like

½ cup of cooked turkey sausage crumbles

    Scallions or parsley for garnish

How to Make Air Fryer Omelettes

    1. Preheat your Air Fryer 375 degrees.
    2. Place a air fryer paper liner in the bottom of your basket. Use parchment paper or
    3. A silicon liner that is safe and won’t catch fire.
    4. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat them lightly with a fork. Add a pinch of salt and pepper, and beat the mixture until it is well combined.
    5. Pour the egg mixture into the lined air fryer basket and top it with cheese, cooked sausage, and green onions.
    6. Cook the omelette for 15 to 20 minutes.
    7. Serve with fresh fruit, bagels, or muffins.

What can I put in an omelette?

Omelets are versatile and can be filled with a wide variety of ingredients.  You can make them a fully balanced meal by adding in protein, fat, and fiber.

Some popular options include diced vegetables such as onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, as well as meats like ham, bacon, and sausage.

Diced vegetables like onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and spinach

Diced meats like ham, bacon, sausage, or chicken

Grated cheese, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or feta

Chopped herbs like chives, parsley, or basil

Leftover cooked vegetables or grains like rice or quinoa

    What air fryers are best?

I've had 3 or 4 different air fryers or the past 5 years and each one of them has worked very well with the air fryer recipes on this site. If you want to be able to cook more food for your family at once then get an air fryer with a large basket such as 5.3 quarts. Look for ones that say nonstick on them and has multiple program settings.

Power XL Air Fryer 5.3 Quart Basket. - This was my very first air fryer.

Our 5.3QT Power Air-Fryer comes in handy in preparing amazing meals from your cookbook, and frying a variety of dishes, such as: French fries, chicken, steak, roasts, fish tacos and sticks, waffle fries, pies, pudding and donuts.

Ninja Foodi Grill and Air Fryer - This air fryer works very well too but the air fryer setting doesn't go below 300 degrees. If there's a recipe that calls for lower temperatures you have to use the bake setting. It air frys, roasts, grills, and dehydrates food.
