Air fryer frozen waffles are one of the easiest ways to get perfectly crispy waffles in just a few minutes. If you have ever made frozen waffles in the toaster and ended up with uneven browning or soggy spots, the air fryer gives you a much better result.

This method cooks the waffles evenly and gives them a golden, slightly crispy texture on the outside while keeping the inside soft. The best part is you can cook them straight from frozen with no prep required.

All you need to do is place the waffles in the air fryer, cook for a few minutes, and they are ready to serve. It is a simple upgrade that makes frozen waffles taste a lot better.

Frozen waffles are simple to make in the air fryer. Just like any other frozen food item like Air Fryer Arby's Frozen Curly Fries or Air Fryer Frozen Vegetables. Also these Air Fryer Frozen French Toast Sticks are an easy breakfast to make as well.

While you're waiting for your frozen waffles to cook in the air fryer heat up some breakfast food on your griddle!

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Frozen Waffles

    • 1 box or container of frozen waffles (I used a frozen protein waffle from Target)
    • Maple Syrup
    • Whipped Topping
    • Fruit of choice

    Equipment:

    • Air fryer
    • parchment paper
    • Tongs or a spatula

    Substitution Tips

    • Low-carb waffles like Birch Benders need less time - check at 3 minutes.
    • Kodiak Cakes or protein waffles may benefit from a light mist of oil to prevent drying out.
    • Gluten-free options cook well but can get crumbly - use parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 1 Preheat the Air Fryer: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 350ยฐF (200ยฐC).

    Recommended Tools

I have two air fryers. The Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer and Ninja Woodfire Grill which is an outdoor air fryer. Itโ€™s pretty awesome! It has 5 different functions on it.

    Pro Tips

    • Do not overcrowd the basket so the waffles cook evenly
    • Flip halfway through for even browning
    • Cook longer if you like extra crispy edges
    • Keep an eye on them near the end since air fryers can vary
    • Use a light spray of oil for a more golden finish

    Storage

Store leftover waffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, place them back in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 2 to 3 minutes until warm and crispy again. Avoid microwaving as it can make them soft.
