Why You Will Like This Recipe

I've tried making many recipes in my air fryer like these little smokies and Air Fryer Pigs in a Blanket.

The air fryer gives the bacon that irresistible crisp without all the grease.

The brown sugar caramelizes into a sticky glaze that pairs beautifully with smoky sausages.

They’re easy to make in batches and guaranteed to disappear fast.

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Little Smokies

    • Little Smokies - Any 14oz package or brand will work
    • Bacon  - Cut each slice of bacon in half or in thirds. You might not end up using all the bacon to wrap the smokies in.
    • Sugar  - must be brown sugar (I have not tried this with sugar substitutes)

How to Make Air Fryer Smokies

Step 1 Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees.

Step 2 Cut strips of bacon into about 1 inch to 2 length. Wrap the bacon around the little smokies and insert a tooth pick into them to keep the bacon from falling off.

In a bowl combine the brown sugar, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper.

Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the little smokies

Place the little smokies in the air fryer at 375 and cook for 10 minutes. If using an oven, bake at 350 degrees for 10 -15 minutes. Best served warm.

    Recipe Tips

Don’t overcrowd the basket. Overcrowding can lead to uneven cooking. Work in batches if needed so they get crispy all around.

    Try bacon-wrapping them.
For next-level flavor, wrap each Little Smokie with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Air fry until the bacon is golden and crispy — around 10–12 minutes.

Add a sweet and spicy glaze.
After air frying, toss your Little Smokies in a mixture of BBQ sauce and a little honey or sriracha for an irresistible sweet heat combo.

    Recipe FAQS

How long do I cook Little Smokies in the air fryer?

Typically, you’ll air fry them at 375°F (190°C) for about 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway through, until heated and slightly crisp.

Can I wrap little smokies in bacon first?

We love bacon on this blog, can you tell? Bacon-wrapped Little Smokies are a fan favorite. Just secure with a toothpick and air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning once.

Can I toss little smokies in BBQ or sauce before air frying?

It’s best to air fry first, then toss in sauce to avoid burning or caramelizing too quickly in the air fryer.

    How do I store leftovers?

Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever!

    Description

Warning: these Air Fryer Bacon-Wrapped Smokies are dangerously easy to make and even easier to devour. Perfect for game day or any gathering!

    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 1 (14 oz) package of little smokies (cocktail sausages)

1 lb bacon (cut each slice into thirds)

½ cup brown sugar (light or dark)

    Instructions

    1. Cut each slice of bacon into thirds.
    2. Wrap each little smoky with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick, if desired.
    3. Roll or sprinkle each wrapped smoky in brown sugar to coat.
    4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
    5. Place the wrapped smokies in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Don’t overcrowd them.
    6. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar is caramelized.

    Notes

    • Let cool for a couple minutes before serving. These are delicious on their own or served with BBQ sauce or honey mustard for dipping!
    • Use thin or regular-cut bacon for the crispiest texture.
