Cranberry brie tart is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any holiday gathering or dinner party. The combination of creamy brie cheese and sweet-tart cranberry sauce is sure to be a hit with your guests.
Impress your guests this Holiday with these tasty cranberry brie tarts. It is also a good recipe to use up any leftover cranberry sauce. If you don’t want to use the tart shells this would be delicious with just the melted brie and cranberry sauce on top. I topped these off with pecan and drizzled some honey and scallions on top for something green. They were so delicious.
Some of you probably have never even worked with brie cheese or heard of it before. Brie is a soft cow’s milk cheese. The cheese is named Brie because that is the city of which the cheese originated in France. Some people choose to eat the rind and others don’t. I typically don’t eat the rind myself. This cheese melts particularly well in the oven and it makes a great side appetizer for dipping anything you like with it.
What do I need to make Cranberry Brie Bites?
8 mini phyllo tart shells
8 pieces of brie (about the size of teaspoon)
8 teaspoons of canned cranberry sauce
8 pecan slices
2 teaspoon of honey for drizzling
2 scallions, chopped
How to make Cranberry Brie Bites?
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the phyllo tart shells in a mini cupcake muffin tin pan.
Cut the brie into teaspoon size pieces and place the brie in the middle of the tart shell.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the brie is melted.
Remove the brie from the oven and garnish with a teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
Garnish the brie with a pecan, drizzled honey, and chopped scallions.
Tips for Cranberry Brie Tarts
Sub crescent roll dough or puff pastry for the phyllo tart shells.
What is the best substitute for brie? Camembert, fresh mozzarella, or gouda would work. Just find good melty cheese.
The pecans and honey are completely optional. If you leave those 2 items off the tarts would be less WW points.
Tips for Serving Appetizers
My family loves to serve appetizers on Christmas Eve. Here’s some tips I’ve learned during the Holidays for preparing or serving appetizers in a large family.
- Have a variety of appetizers available served warm or cold.
- See if there’s other ways to prepare the appetizer so you’re not constantly using the oven in your home or someone else’s. Slow Cookers or Air Fryers are great for this reason.
- Many appetizers can be made ahead of time. See what ingredients in the recipe can be cooked the day before.
- Have plenty of fancy serving platters around to arrange the appetizers on. Dips and fancy spreads look nice on a white serving tray.
Storage Tips
Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Just make sure the food is sealed tight before storing in the fridge or freezer.

Yes they should be served warm.

Just wondering if these have to be served warm. If they get cold from transporting will the Brie get harder again?
