    Honeydew Slush Tips:

    Can Honey Dew be frozen?

Yes, honey can be frozen!  I first tried this method when I made my 2 ingredient watermelon sorbet recipe and it worked like a charm. Then I started to experiment with other types of fruits such as musk melon, honey dew, and cantaloupe. It turns into a slushy or sorbet when blended in a food processor or blender.

How to cut a honey dew melon?

Stand the melon up on the counter and start trimming away the rind. Cut it in half length wise. Scoop out all the seeds, and then cut it into cubes.

How to tell when honey dew is fresh?

In order to tell if a honey dew melon is fresh I just usually smell it. If it smells like a melon then it is ready to eat.

    How do I store leftovers?

Once food has cooled, transfer leftovers into airtight containers. Glass containers are a great choice as they are non-porous and don't absorb odors or stains. If you prefer plastic, make sure it's BPA-free and food-grade.

Label the containers with the date to keep track of how long the food has been stored. Most leftovers are best consumed within three to four days.
