If you're a fan of fish tacos like me, you're going to love how easy it is to make these tacos using just your air fryer! This fish taco recipe only requires 3 ingredients.

I dislike recipes that require you to make every single element that goes into a taco like pico de gallo, salsa, slaw mix, or even making your own breaded fried fish. No thanks! I'm kind of a lazy cook and think that is way too many steps and food to buy for just a single recipe.

I Hope you like this super easy recipe and you can get everything done and ready to ensemble for the taco made by the time the fish fillets get done baking in the oven. Leave a comment below and tell me what is your favorite fish taco topping!

Why You Will Love Air Fryer Fish Tacos

This fish taco recipe is easy and quick with the help of your air fryer and a bag of cole slaw mix. Try these recipes for Air Fryer Fish and Chips or Air Fryer Filet O Fish (Mcdonald's Copycat).

These fish tacos are dairy-free depending on what type of breaded fillets you get in the store. Look for ones that don't have any dairy in them! Also, I'm thinking about adding dietary restrictions to all my food titles. Example Super Easy Fish Tacos - Dairy Free, Gluten Free, etc... Let me know what you think about that!

All you need are 3 easy ingredients to prep from the store and they are pretty convienent.

Ingredients Needed for Air Fryer Fish Tacos

    • Corn tortillas or flour tortillas
    • Slaw Mix - I like to get the prepackaged salad mixes with cole slaw already in there. All you need to do is mix everything together.
    • 1 small bunch of cilantro, chopped
    • Frozen breaded fish fillets (I used artic shore beer battered fish fillets)
    • See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

How to Make Air Fryer Fish Tacos

Step 1: Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Or set your air fryer to 350.

Step 2: Place the breaded fillets on a baking sheet and bake the fillets for however long the box instructions say. Mine were for 16 to 18 minutes. Air fry the fish for 10 to 12 minutes.

Frozen fish in air fryer basket.

Step 3: While the fish are baking make the slaw. In a medium bowl, combine the ingredients that came in the salad mix bag.

Step 3: Heat up a cast iron skillet or griddle with a small amount of oil 1 tablespoon and cook the tortillas on each side until they turn a golden brown color.

Step 4: Once the fish get done baking in the air fryer, place one of the fillets of fish on the tortilla and top with the corn slaw mix. Enjoy! Serve with your favorite sauce.

I have two air fryers. The Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer and Ninja Woodfire Grill which is an outdoor air fryer. It’s pretty awesome! It has 5 different functions on it.

    Recipe Tips

    1. Preheating ensures that the fries cook evenly and achieve the desired crispiness.
    2. Avoid Overcrowding: Cooking in smaller batches will help the fries cook more evenly and get crispier.
    3. Shaking the Basket: Shaking the basket halfway through cooking helps ensure that all the fries cook evenly.
    4. Experiment with Seasonings: Feel free to experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder, paprika, or Cajun spice to add an extra kick to your fries.
    5. Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container.
