Shrimp cocktail is probably one of my favorite appetizers at a party and can be a great 0 point snack. It’s pretty easy to whip up if you get shrimp that are already peeled and deveined. Just toss them on a sheet pan and season them with some lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Bake them at 400 degrees for only 5 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink. I like to buy frozen shrimp at Sam’s Club. To make the cocktail sauce zero points make your own version instead. The store-bought shrimp cocktail sauce is 3 smart points for 1/4 cup but this version is 0 points if you use reduced sugar ketchup and prepared horseradish. Just go easy on that, cause it’s super spicy.
This week has been a really good week! Yesterday I paid off my student loans and got my taxes sent out. Hope the week is going well for you guys. Sometimes I don’t really know what recipe I’m going to make for this blog. I’d like to get down to a certain posting schedule during the week but I don’t think that’s going to ever happen. Most of the time I’m inspired by something I see on social media. Weight Watchers had posted a picture of shrimp cocktail on their Instagram and that made me have a bad craving for this! It’s even better when you got all the ingredients on hand.Print
