Why You Will Like This Recipe

Desserts are so fun to make and super easy on a Blackstone griddle like these S'more Quesadillas or Blackstone Banana Boats! You will want to make this peach cobbler all Summer long and top it off with my Ninja Creami Vanilla Ice Cream recipe.

All you need is a can of peaches and a box of yellow cake mix to make this recipe.

Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a tasty and easy dessert.

You can even make this peach cobbler on a Blackstone by replacing the glass pan with a tinfoil or aluminum foil pan. Cover the lid and cook the cake for 30-40 minutes.

    What Ingredients do I need?

    Ingredients needed for Peach Cobbler.

For the WW version of this recipe, you can sub a - sugar free cake mix and use light butter to make a lighter version of this recipe. The points per serving will be 7 per serving. I added the WW ingredients you need after the | in the recipe ingredients.

    • Canned Peaches - If you don’t like canned peaches use other pie filling like cherries, blueberries, or apple filling.
    • Cake Mix  -  Butter cake mix is preferred for this recipe because to me it resembles a  crumble topping more than a box of vanilla cake mix would.
    • Butter - The butter will melt in the oven no matter what you decide to do to it before preparing it to go into the oven. I’ve seen this recipe made using melted butter or cubed butter. Both will work.

    Substitution Tips

    • Add cinnamon or nutmeg to the cake mix for a warm, cozy vibe.
    • Use white or spice cake mix for a fun twist.
    • If you prefer a less sweet version, use peaches in juice instead of heavy syrup.
    • Make it WW-friendly by using sugar-free cake mix and peaches in 100% juice, and swap the butter for a light alternative or reduce the amount.

    How to make Peach Cobbler

    Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 2: Pour peaches into a baking dish. I used a 9X9 inch baking dish.

Peaches on the bottom of a baking dish.

Step 3: Sprinkle cake mix on top and add pats of  butter all over the top of the crust.

Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 50 minutes.

    Blackstone Cooking Instructions:

    1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-low heat (you want gentle heat under the skillet or pan).
    2. Grease your skillet with a bit of butter or nonstick spray.
    3. Pour in the peaches, juice and all.
    4. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the peaches (don’t stir!).
    5. Slice butter thinly and place evenly across the top OR melt it first and drizzle it on.
    6. Cover with a dome lid or tent loosely with foil. This traps heat and helps bake the top.
    7. Cook for 30–40 minutes, checking occasionally. Rotate the skillet if needed to prevent hot spots. It’s done when the top is golden and bubbly.

    Recipe Tips and Tricks

How do I store leftovers? Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container.

Add ins: Some other ingredients to try adding walnuts or pecans to the cake mix. Sprinkle some brown sugar on top of the peaches or some cinnamon.

This recipe can also be made in the slow cooker! Dump the can of peaches on the bottom and follow the recipe as stated but cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.

How to Make a Simple Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix?
