adult worm and dirt cups 011

Worm and dirt parfaits usually consist of chocolate pudding and crushed Oreos. Crushed Oreos are the dirt part and gummy worms are the worm. To make this an adult pudding parfait I added in some Baileys when making the Instant Pudding mix.

Anything gummy is a guilty pleasure of mine, especially Haribo gummy bears. Mmmm I could easily eat 2 or 3 of those bags in one night.

To make this dessert more "adult-like" I subbed ½ cup of Baileys for the rest of the milk. Usually, those instant pudding boxes make you use 2 cups of milk.  ½ cup Baileys and 1 ½ cups of milk. Top with crushed Oreos and add in the gummy worms. I don't have a preference for brands when it comes to gummy worms. Eileen's were pretty tasty and you can usually get those at Fleet Farm.

What Ingredients do I need for Worm and Dirt Parfaits?

In this section, you can find substitutes or suggestions for certain check here

Chocolate Pudding Mix - I’m a semi-homemade cook and whenever I can use ingredients like this I love them. Just add milk to the pudding. There are different sizes of pudding mix. The regular pudding mix is 3.4 oz and the sugar-free is 1oz. Both require the same amount of milk used.

Milk - 1%, 2 %, or whole - Do not use almond or any other type of milk substitute because they don’t work well with Instant Pudding Mix.

Baileys - to add in something special, this is what makes them for Adults only 😉

Cool Whip -  A frozen whipped topping that is found in the freezer section of the grocery store. I like it a lot because I’m lazy and don’t like beating heavy cream to making whipped cream. 😉

Oreos - Are a chocolate cream-filled wafer cookie that comes in a variety of flavors. If you don’t know what these are by now, you’re living under a rock or some kind of cave. They come in a variety of flavors.

Gummy Worms - Use your favorite brand of Gummy Worms - I like Eileen’s

How to Make Adult Dirt and Worm Parfaits

Do not follow the back of the pudding mix for this. Instead of 2 cups of milk use 1 ½ cups of milk and ½ cup of Baileys. Make like directed on the back of the box. Fold in the cool whip and chill in the fridge until set.

Crush some Oreos in a plastic bag until it resembles "dirt."

Find 4 of the same glasses and layer the pudding on the bottom until it almost reaches the top. Top the pudding with crushed Oreos and place 3 gummy worms inside the dirt.
