    Orange fluff salad is a classic dessert salad made with fruit, whipped topping, and pudding mix. It has a soft, creamy texture and a sweet citrus flavor.

    Orange fluff salad is an old WW dessert back from the 80s and since then the WW program has changed quite a bit. I wasn't even born then (born in 81) and I'm not really sure how WW was calculating points back then.

    Ingredients Needed for Orange Fluff

    • 1 (1 oz) box sugar-free orange Jell-O โ€“ One small box of orange flavored gelatin mix provides both the color and the concentrated citrus flavor. It also acts as a stabilizer to help the salad hold its shape.
    • 1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges (juice packed, drained) โ€“ brings natural sweetness and a juicy texture that balances the creamy ingredients
    • 1 (8 oz) tub fat-free Cool Whip โ€“ creates that light, fluffy texture that makes this a classic โ€œfluffโ€ salad
    • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened) โ€“ adds creaminess and a boost of protein while keeping the recipe lighter and more filling

    How to Make Orange Fluff Salad

    Step 1: Beat together the Cool Whip, yogurt, and orange jello together in a bowl. I like to use a wire whisk for this but you can also use an electric mixer.

    Step 2: Gently fold in the drained mandarin oranges and let it sit in the fridge for up to 2 hrs. Each serving is ยฝ cup and it makes a total of 8 servings.

    Pro Tips for the Best Orange Fluff Salad

    • For the best results, make sure your mandarin oranges are extremely well drained. If you leave too much juice in the cans, it will thin out the "fluff" and cause the salad to become watery at the bottom of the bowl. You can even pat the oranges dry with a paper towel if you want a very thick consistency.
    • Fold gently to keep the mixture light and fluffy
    • Let it chill before serving so the flavors come together
    • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed

    You may notice a small amount of liquid at the bottom of the container after it has sat for a day. This is normal and is simply the fruit releasing a bit of moisture. Just give the salad a very gentle stir.

    Description

    Orange Fluff is an old WW dessert way back from the 80s. It is light and refreshing and perfect for Spring!


    Ingredients

    Scale
    • 1 (1oz)- sugar-free orange Jell-O (gelatin)
    • 1 15 oz can mandarin oranges (juice packed and drained)ย 
    • 1 (8oz) tub of fat-free Cool Whip
    • 2 cups of plain Greek Yogurt (unsweetened)


    Instructions

    1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together thawed Cool Whip, Greek Yogurt,ย  and jello mix until smooth.
    2. Fold in mandarin oranges and mix until combined.
    3. Chill in refrigerator until serving.
    4. Makes 4 servings. Evenly divide the mixture into for separate dishes.ย
