Since Fall is here I really wanted to create a pumpkin dessert cocktail and came up with this drink. Behold, the Pumpkin Mudslide! A Fall festive drink with pumpkin spice Bailey's Liquor and Godiva Chocolate.
With these 2 liquors plus your choice of milk or heavy cream, you can always make the perfect drink and it will never fail. It’s great for dessert cocktails. Are you ready for it? Equal parts Vanilla Vodka and Godiva liqueur plus a little bit of milk make the perfect base for a decadent cocktail. I added in some Bailey’s Pumpkin Pie Spice and it was such a treat.
Have you been to all the stores lately? It’s pumpkin spice EVERYTHING. I’m your typical white girl and love this time of year because of all the pumpkin foodie items coming out on the shelves. I’m in heaven browsing the pumpkin spice goodies at Aldi and if you haven’t tried their pumpkin spice bread yet you have to try it. The BEST with some whipped cream cheese.
Pumpkin Spiced LIqueur
Even the liquor stores have pumpkin spice flavored vodka and liqueur. I found this Bailey’s Pumpkin Spice limited-edition flavor and had to try it with the combo mentioned above. It is HEAVEN. Godiva and Bailey’s can get pretty expensive but you know the Holidays are coming up. Pumpkin spice only happens once a year. Splurge and have fun a little!
This drink is served in a hurricane glass but if you don't have a hurricane glass use some other type of glass that you already have at home.
How to make a Pumpkin Mudslide
Prepare the cocktail glasses by dipping rims on a plate with caramel syrup.
Dip the coated rims on a plate with crushed graham cracker crumbs until coated.
Add Ice, vanilla whipped vodka, caramel Syrup, Bailey’s Pumpkin Pie Spice, Godiva, and Milk in a shaker.
Shake vigorously for around 30 seconds.
Can I make this drink for a crowd?
Yes you can, I like to use equal parts for the alcohol so if you are making this drink for a lot of people use liquid measuring cups for doubling or tripling the number of servings.
Bartending Tips for Beginners
- Always keep 6 basic liquors stocked in your bar. Those are Vodka, Whiskey, Rum, Tequila, Gin, and Brandy.
- Different types of liqueurs are also great to have for a well stocked bar. Examples of creme based liqueurs are Rumchata, Kauhula, or Irish Cream
- Essential mixers to keep on hand would be ginger beer, different flavored juices, or or sodas like Sprite and Club.
- Simple syrups are just equal parts sugar and water and you can add whatever extract flavoring you want to them.
- Of course, always keep a variety of different cocktail glasses serving and ice on hand.

What other types of cocktails can you make with this?
Like I said above in my post, this is just a base recipe. Some of my favorite liquors to add to this are Raspberry Vodka, Caramel flavored vodka, Creme de mint, and Butterscotch liquor. So freaking good.
