This boozy Rumchata Hot Chocolate is the perfect Holiday treat to serve on a cold Winter's night and when andes mints are added in, it creates an interesting flavor combo!

Rumchata Hot Chocolate

You can make this hot chocolate drink over the stovetop in less than 10 minutes or if you're planning a party, just keep it all warm in slow cooker. Whatever way you decide to make this it will still taste good.

What Ingredients do I need for Rumchata Hot Chocolate?

In this section, you can find substitutes or suggestions for certain check here

Cool Whip - A frozen whipped topping that is found in the freezer section of the grocery store. I like it a lot because I’m lazy and don’t like beating heavy cream to making whipped cream. 😉

Andes Mint Chips  - You might think a cinnamon/rum-flavored liquor and mint chips might be a weird combo, but you're wrong. They work really well together!

Rumchata - If you've never tried this cinnamon flavored creme liquor before you're missing out! I would suggest going over to the liquor store now and buying a bottle of it. It is a type of liquor that does not need to be refrigerated!

Milk - whole milk is listed in the recipe below but any type of milk will work. Even a non-dairy milk should be ok but just keep in mind Rumchata is not a dairy-free liquor

How to make Rumchata Hot Chocolate

  1. In a small sauce pan over medium heat bring the milk to a low simmer.
  2. Stir in the mint chips and stir until melted. Then add in the Rumchata.
