Why You Will Like This Recipe

This 2 ingredient dough is so amazing and you can make so much with it. Like I've said in a previous post. I've bought so many containers of greek yogurt and when I run out of my self-rising flour, I'm just going to go back to all purpose flour because you just need to add a teaspoon of baking powder to the mix.

Endless Possibilities! So far, I've made bagels, pizza, and 2 ingredient dough cinnamon rolls and now I'm giving you a recipe for cheesy bread sticks. This is my favorite recipe so far and one bread stick is only 1 smart point. Yes, you can eat cheesy garlic bread sticks on a diet!

Easy to Make! After you make the dough, roll it out and transfer it onto a baking sheet. Spray the dough with butter spray. Mix the mozzarella with basil and garlic powder in a bowl and sprinkle that on top of the dough. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. The dough will be golden brown on the bottom. What else could you possible make with this dough? There's endless possibilities and it's so fun to mess around with.

    Ingredients Needed

    • Greek yogurt - is considered great for a variety of reasons. It is typically higher in protein and lower in sugar than regular yogurt, making it a good choice for those looking to maintain a balanced diet.
    • Self rising flour - is a type of flour that already contains baking powder and salt, which are essential ingredients in many baked goods.
    • Part skim mozzarella cheese - I like to use Reduced-Fat Cheese because it has a lower calorie count and less saturated fat than regular cheese, but it may also have a different taste and texture. It also helps with keeping the calorie count pretty low for this recipe.
    • Basil -
    • Garlic powder - is made from dehydrated garlic cloves and like the chili powder above it gets pulverized into a powder or flour consistency.
    • Butter spray - is lighter and lower in calories than regular butter.
    • See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

    How to Make Breadsticks

Step 1: In a medium bowl mix the greek yogurt and self rising flour until well combined.

Greek Yogurt and Self Rising Flour combined in a dough.

Step 2: Spread the dough out onto a floured works surface. Coat a rolling pin with flour and begin to roll the dough out into an oval shape.

2 Ingredient spread out on a surface.

Step 3: Transfer the dough onto a baking sheet and spritz the dough with butter spray. I like to transfer the dough to a try lined with a slip.

2 ingredient transferred to a baking tray.

Step 4: In a small bowl combine the cheese, basil, and garlic powder. Spread the cheese on top of the dough and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

Recipe Tip: Bake the dough without the toppings first for a good 10 minutes so that it the bottom gets really brown and extra crispy.

2 ingredient dough topped with butter, garlic, and cheeses.

    Serve with marinara sauce.

    Recipe FAQS

What can I serve this with?

Pizza and breadsticks are a great combo together. Have some Ceasar Salad on the side with those two items.

How to store leftovers: Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic,  whatever!  Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container before putting it in the freezer or fridge.

This can be prepped the day ahead.

Just remember the points change when they update their plans. I can't keep track of them all, sorry.

I put the ingredients into weight watchers recipe builder and it comes up with 2 points per serving, not 1. so 16 servings are 2 points each. omitting cheese may bring down to 1 point

There's a picture above that kind of shows you how I cut them. They won't all be same size depending on how well you roll the dough out.
