This air fryer poutine recipe is only 3 ingredients and it’s a recipe I like to do when I’m feeling super lazy to cook anything. The fries are cooked in the air fryer and the gravy is a packet that you just add water to it and let it thicken over the stove. Of course, you can always make your own homemade gravy.

Why You'll Love This Recipe
All of these ingredients including the cheese curds can be purchased at Aldi which is a grocery store I’m obsessed with. If you haven’t seen my other site which is all about that store please go over and check it out! Ingredients Needed
Frozen french fries (can be any style or cut)
Packet of gravy mix - If there is a recipe for brown gravy you like make your own. I like using the packet because it's quick!
Wisconsin-style cheese curds - Are a dairy product made from fresh curdled milk. They are usually shaped in small, irregular chunks and have a mild, slightly tangy flavor.
How to Make Air Fryer Poutine
Step 1: Preheat your Air Fryer at 400 degrees.
Step 2: Place the frozen french fries in the air fryer basket and set the timer for 12 minutes.
Note: Use some parchment paper on the bottom for easy clean up.
Step 3: While the fries are cooking make the gravy according to the directions on the back of the packet. The one I used said to add 1 cup of cold water plus the packet of gravy mix to a pan and continue stirring it until the gravy is thick and golden brown.
Step 4: When the fries are ready, place them on a plate. Then the cheese curds and pour the gravy all over the fries. If you want your cheese curds to be all gooey and melted place the plate in the microwave for 1 minute.
Enjoy!
Tips for making the Best Poutine
Make your own beef gravy with beef broth or beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, unsalted butter, and flour in a small saucepan. Try my own Homemade Brown Gravy from Scratch.
Season your french fries with onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, or thyme.
Serve with your favorite condiments like ketchup or ranch dressing.
Tips for using Air Fryers
The air fryer is so great for cooking simple basic food like air fryer steak, air fryer hard-boiled eggs, and air fryer bacon. Cook up some air fryer chicken breasts for the week and use it chicken quesadillas.
Overcrowding: Do not overcrowd the basket. Place items in a single layer in the air fryer basket or some food will not cook properly or all the way through.
Use a spray oil such as Pam to get food extra crispy and to save on calories.
Use parchment paper on the bottom of your air fryer for easy clean up.
Recipe FAQS
Some air fryers require preheating and some do not. Be sure to check your air fryer manual.
I have two air fryers. The Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer and Ninja Woodfire Grillwhich is an outdoor air fryer. It’s pretty awesome! It has 5 different functions on it.
Aluminum foil can be put in the air fryer. Cut it the same size as the air fryer basket. If you don't have foil use parchment paper or an oven safe baking dish that fits in your air fryer.
You probably put too many frozen french fries in the air fryer basket or didn't use a high enough temp. Another reason could be not spraying the frozen french fries with cooking spray.
Poutine is a dish served with french fries, cheese curds, and gravy. It originated in Quebec Canada in the late 1950’s. In America, poutine is sometimes known as Disco Fries. Poutine is usually a dish served by itself or sometimes you’ll see it at restaurants and it is served with pulled pork or brisket on top of it.
