Why You'll Love this Recipe
Seasoned tomatoes and feta cheese get baked in the oven to create this lovely sauce and then pasta gets tossed in with it. The tomatoes burst in the oven and open up to create a wonderful tomato sauce.
It’s so easy to make that all the blocked feta cheese is sold out and hard to find. I couldn’t find ANY blocked feta cheese at any of the grocery stores I regularly shop at in ND. The blocked feta is even sold out in Findland and probably soon will be all over the US. If you can’t find blocked feta cheese don’t worry, because you can do this with crumbled feta cheese as well.
Creamy Sauce
The original recipe on Tiktok calls for adding some reserved pasta water. I made this dish extra creamy by adding in some heavy cream to it. Heavy cream is not necessary but check it out if you want to.

Ingredients for Baked Feta Pasta
Grape Tomatoes - The tomatoes can be cut in half, left whole, or quartered. The end results will still taste the same no matter what you decide to do. If you are using a larger tomato like a Roma or beefsteak tomatoes then cut them in half or quarter so that the cooking time remains the same. Don't like tomatoes? Use other vegetables.
Feta Cheese -Blocked feta or crumbled feta cheese can be used. I've seen people use ricotta, goat cheese, or cream cheese.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil - The original Tiktok recipe calls for ½ cup of oil but that is also a lot of points if you are following the Weight Watcher plan and if you are new here to this blog that is what I write recipes for. I used only 2 tablespoons to help lower the fat content and points for this recipe.
Freshly Chopped Basil, Garlic, Salt, and Pepper for seasonings
Cream - If your sauce doesn’t come out as creamy as you like it to be add in some heavy cream. This is OPTIONAL. Some chicken stock or reserved pasta water will also work.
Parmesan Cheese - for sprinkling

Tips for Baked Pasta
The original recipe for this dish calls for reserved pasta water. Make sure to reserve the pasta water on the side if that is what you want to use instead of Heavy Cream.
To make it spicy or to add more flavor try adding some crushed red pepper flakes.
Add some chopped veggie like zucchini, asparagus, broccoli, spinach, and garlic cloves a long with the tomatoes.
Any type of noodle can be used. Penne or rigatoni works really well with.

Recipe didnt specify whether the casserole needed to be covered while baking or not. I baked it uncovered for 40 mins, cheese wasnt completely melted. I added cooked pasta, sauteed mushrooms, garlic, fresh basil, red pepper flakes and italian seasoning covered and put back in for another 5 minutes. It still looked a little clumpy so I put some pasta water and it helped. Overall I liked it, but the feta taste is very intense for my liking.

Love this recipe. I doubled the ingredients and added spinach, mushrooms, pepper flakes, cream cheese and sautéed shrimp. Used spaghetti for pasta. So versatile. It’s a keeper.

Saw this all over tiktok and had to try it
I did 20 ounces of grape tomatoes and roasted whole cloves of garlic right with it all, and it didn’t need the cream (IMO).
3/4 of a 16 oz box of pasta was all I could use to keep it saucy. And a splash of the pasta water to loosen it up was perfect.
It’s so, so good! Highly recommend.

It doesn't matter. Keep the tomatoes whole, half, or quarter them. Either way, the end results still taste the same.
