These Air Fryer Oreos are incredible guys! Now you can make the famous fried Oreos at state fairs right at home and it is so simple to do in your air fryer!

Air fryer oreos drizzled with Hershey's chocolate syrup.

I have adored Oreo cookies since God knows when and this Winter the Triple Stuffed Oreos came out. I had this recipe for air fryer Oreos in mind back then but thought it wasn’t appropriate since it was the middle of Winter.

I wish Oreos would make packets for single people sold in 8. It’s pretty stupid for me to buy a container of Oreos just for myself and I always feel kind of guilty when I do that. I’d be eating those for weeks and weeks and I love my Oreos dipped in milk. I’ve tried almost every flavor of Oreo but have you tried my Air Fryer Oreos yet? NEXT LEVEL OREOS.

The air fryer is one of my favorite kitchen appliances for cooking frozen food.  Check out some of these recipes for Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Nuggets, Frozen Onion Rings or Air Fryer Frozen Hash Brown Patties.

Why You Will Love This Recipe

Air Fryer Oreos are best served warm right out of the air fryer. To reheat them simply pop them back in the air fryer until the Oreos are heated through.

Dust the air fryer Oreos with some powdered sugar and drizzle with some caramel sauce or chocolate syrup.

2 Ingredient Dough can be used for these Air Fryer Oreos! I have tested these with crescent roll dough and this popular dough recipe. Or just simply use crescent roll dough.

    Ingredients for Air Fryer Oreos

Ingredients needed for air fryer Oreos.
    • Self-rising flour - Self rising flour already contains baking powder so no leveling agent is needed.
    • Greek Yogurt - use an organic plain non-fat Greek Yogurt
    • Oreos - There many different types of Oreos out there at the grocery store, use your favorite flavor or reduced fat if you are watching calories.
    • Lite Hershey's Chocolate Syrup for drizzling
    • Powder sugar for dusting
    • Pam Cooking Spray
    • See recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.

How to Make Air Fryer Oreos

Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees (200 degrees C). Skip this step if your air fryer doesn’t need pre heating.

Step 1: Mix together the Greek Yogurt and self rising flour together in a bowl until the dough forms. This dough is quite sticky to work with so you might need extra flour or water to dampen your hands with.

Greek Yogurt and Self rising flour mixed in a bowl.

Step 3: Place an Oreo in the middle of the dough and wrap the dough around the Oreo. If there is any extra dough just cut it off with scissors.

Oreo on top of 2 ingredient dough.

Step 4: Line an air fryer basket with parchment paper. Spray parchment paper with nonstick cooking spray.

Air fryer oreos in an air fryer basket sprayed with cooking oil spray butter.

Add the Oreos to the air fryer basket and cook for 4 to 5 minutes; flip and cook (the dough on the bottom of the Oreo might not be cooked through) until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes more. Dust the air fryer Oreos with confectioners' sugar.

    Tips for Air Fryers

The air fryer is so great for cooking simple basic food like air fryer steak, air fryer hard-boiled eggs, and air fryer bacon. Cook up some air fryer chicken breasts for the week and use it chicken quesadillas.

Overcrowding: Do not overcrowd the basket. Place items in a single layer in the air fryer basket or some food will not cook properly or all the way through.

Use a spray oil such as Pam to get food extra crispy and to save on calories.

Use parchment paper on the bottom of your air fryer for easy clean up.

    Recipe FAQS

Can Oreos go in the air fryer?

If you want a carnival treat that has fewer calories and added fat then make Oreos in the air fryer.

Do I need to preheat an air fryer?

Some air fryers require preheating and some do not. Be sure to check your air fryer manual.

What air fryer do I use?

I have two air fryers. The Cosori 4 Qt Air Fryer and Ninja Woodfire Grill which is an outdoor air fryer. It’s pretty awesome! It has 5 different functions on it.

I dislike Oreos, (wait for gasp!) I did use your dough on [Keebler’s] Chocolate Chip cookies & their Coconut Dreams. Soooo yummy!! I can’t wait to try this with other cookies.

These were so delicious but mine didn’t look as good as yours- they looked more like Oreo balls - I definitely put too much dough on each but not sure how to make them better- should I have waited the 2 hours for the dough to sit?
