Yes, you can make a delicious surf and turf meal all in your air fryer and have it ready on the table in under 15 minutes! It’s so quick and easy.
This meal was inspired by a delivery service from Hello Fresh and the shrimp you can get at a steak house. The meal kit had a surf and turf kit and I tried cooking it all in the air fryer. The shrimp were marinated in this butter with paprika, chives, garlic, and butter. I’m pretty sure that is almost the exact same shrimp recipe that Outback Steak House uses.
When I was making that meal, I knew that the steak and shrimp could be cooked in the air fryer so I came up with a way to do that. Cooking steak can be a really daunting task for some people and I know I even struggle with cooking steak in a pan or on the grill. Always tend to undercook it but when I use an air fryer it is really easy for me.

Ingredients Needed
- Bone-in ribeye steak ½ in thick
- Shrimp - jumbo to large sized, peeled and raw deveined
- Salt and Pepper - to taste
- Light Butter - I use this to help keep this lower in calories but feel free to use normal butter.
- Paprika is a spice made from ground, dried fruits of Capsicum annuum, a type of pepper plant. It is typically sweet and mild, but can also have a slightly bitter or spicy taste depending on the variety used.
- Minced Garlic - Chopped fresh garlic can take some time to chop so I often always use the freshly minced garlic that comes already made in a jar.
